Associate/Full Professor
School of Accountancy

Position: Associate or Full Professor of Accountancy

Qualifications: The School of Accountancy at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking individuals who have an earned Doctorate in Accounting, administrative experience and a minimum of five years post PhD teaching experience at the effective date of employment. Candidates must meet all university, college and school requirements for a tenured, associate professor or higher, which include: education, teaching, research and service. The individual should have a nationally recognized established research record in premier and high quality publications such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research, or Accounting, Organizations, & Society. Audit or Systems accounting specialties are preferred but quality applicants in other areas of accounting will be considered.

Description of Duties:

• Research - Undertake approved scholarly research program publishable in premier and high quality journals and acceptable for quality presentations. Work with, mentor and chair doctoral students.
• Teaching - Includes undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. responsibility in individual's primary and secondary teaching specialties. Current standard load is six hours, with an approved research program.
• Service - Participate in service and governance activities as a representative of the School, College, and/or University in professional, community, and university organizations. Administrative responsibilities and service will be required.

The College: The Southern Illinois University Carbondale, College of Business and Administration is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB, visit the website at http://www.aacsb.edu) at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We have approximately 1,500 undergraduate and 250 graduate students. We offer Bachelor of Science undergraduate academic degree programs in our departments of Management, Finance, Marketing and the School of Accountancy. We offer graduate academic degrees in Master of Business Administration, Master of Accountancy, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration.
