POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Instructor/Lecturer (Communication Disorders and Sciences)
Rehabilitation Institute
Description of Position: This is a
term faculty position in the Rehabilitation Institute beginning Spring 2008.
Major responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and
providing clinical supervision in the Communication Disorders and Sciences
program.
Requirements of Candidate:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences or related field.
Professional certification as a speech-language pathologist (CCC-SLP) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Current or pending Illinois license as a speech-language pathologist.
Experience in providing clinical supervision to graduate students in speech-language pathology.
Experience in teaching communication disorders and sciences courses at the college level.
Responsibilities of the Position:
To teach three courses per semester.
To provide clinical supervision.
To maintain regular office hours for appointments with students enrolled in the courses.
To keep appropriate class records and follow university procedures in regard to enrollment, course instruction, evaluation, and collection of assessment data.
Appointment and Salary: Salary is dependent upon qualifications and
experience. This is a term, non-tenure accruing position. Qualifications will
determine appropriate faculty rank.
Effective Date of Employment: As soon as possible.
