Instructors/Lecturers (Variable-time) (Social Science Education)
Department of Curriculum and Instruction

Description of Positions: Instructors/Lecturers in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction for Summer 2009, Fall 2009, and Spring 2010, as needed. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate teacher education candidates or graduate students in the areas of social science education, at both on-campus and off-campus sites.

Responsibilities of the Positions:

• Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in social science education.

Requirements of Candidates: The rank of Instructor requires an earned Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or a related field; the rank of Lecturer requires an earned Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or a related field.

Persons applying for this position must demonstrate:

• A broad interdisciplinary background with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction;
• Knowledge and experience in the content area.

Preferences for this position are that persons should demonstrate:

• Successful teaching experience at the K-12 school level.
