POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Assistant/Associate Professor (Educational Administration)
Department of Educational Administration and Higher Education
Description of Position: Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of
educational administration in the Department of Educational Administration and
Higher Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Responsibilities of the Position: Areas of responsibility include
teaching graduate-level courses in educational administration; pursuing a
continuing line of research activities leading to scholarly publications in
nationally refereed journals and external funding; supervising principal and/or
superintendent interns; advising certification students; establishing ties with
K-12 school administrators in the region and state; providing service to
constituencies of the Department, the College, and University; and assuming
other departmental
responsibilities as assigned.

Appointment and Salary: This is a continuing
tenure-track appointment. Appointment is on a nine-month academic year basis.
Contingent on available funding and demand for teaching assignments, an
additional summer session appointment may be possible. Salary and rank are
commensurate with experience and background. Progress in rank will require
demonstration of productivity
in research, publication, teaching, and service.
